Entry and eligibility
- There is no cost to enter.
- Open to businesses, groups, projects or individuals.
- Entrants do not need to be living in the City of Melbourne, however your project must impact the city directly.
Award categories
There are eight key award categories:
- Aboriginal Melbourne – ganbu guljin*
- Access and Inclusion
- Arts and Events
- City Design
- Community
- Knowledge and Innovation
- LGBTIQA+
- Sustainability
*ganbu guljin means ‘one mob’ in Woi-wurrung language. This name is intended to better recognise the important work of Aboriginal communities.
Melburnian and Young Melburnian of the Year
The Melburnian and Young Melburnian of the Year awards recognise inspirational role models who have made an outstanding contribution to the city in their chosen field, as well as a significant impact to the Melbourne community.
