Melbourne Heritage Restoration Fund

In this section:

The Melbourne Heritage Restoration Fund (MHRF) was established in 1988 to provide restoration advice, grants and loans to eligible City of Melbourne residents wanting to conserve and restore their heritage buildings for the enjoyment of the wider community.

Eligible conservation works might include the repair of an early cast iron fence, restoration of a building facade, the replacement of a modern tiled roof in original slates, through to reinstating a missing verandah.

To preserve the heart and soul of early Melbourne, it is vital that we protect its architecture and the wonderful heritage homes and buildings.
