The City of Melbourne is committed to creating a more sustainable and liveable Melbourne. To best achieve this we focus our programs on residents, businesses and buildings within the municipality.

Our programs aim to improve the municipality’s environmental performance through reducing water and energy consumption, minimising our greenhouse gas emissions and improving water quality and waste management practises.

This section also contains information on what the City of Melbourne is doing to improve its own operations. To explore the ways the City of Melbourne is working to improve our environment visit Residents, Businesses, Buildings and Council.
