The New Ideas Lab is a biennial EOI process that gives artists an opportunity to propose projects for our creative arts program with and for children and their families. We are proud to have children as key decision makers on the panel selecting these projects.

Maa Maa and Nonna's Kitchen – Sophia Constantine and Jennifer Tran
Welcome to Maa Maa and Nonna’s multicultural kitchen. You're invited to assist them design a feast for the senses. In the first stage of the project, they will be making the dough and they need your help!
There’s flour and water, but what else goes into making dough? Stretching, kneading, rolling, playing – there's so much to do and a lot of mess to make!
For children aged 6 months to 3 years.
Then What?! – Tom Holloway
We are creating a super fun storytelling game called Then What?!, and we need your help! Come and try out your stories with us, tell us what stories mean to you and have lots of fun, going wild with your imagination.
In the first stage of the project, you’ll create all kinds of incredible worlds and learn just how super-awesome-powerful stories can really be!
For children aged 4 to 5 years.

What do Dr. Seuss, William Golding and Mem Fox have in common? They've all written books that have been banned for kids. Books deemed too scary or too immoral to be consumed by anyone but an adult.
Welcome to a world where kids can read everything. Where nothing is banned. Where they are in control of what they consume. Welcome to The Censor.

Endling – Barking Spider
In an earth-like world, imagine you discover the last living creature of its kind, Endling. What will you do? How can you help?
Endling is a brand-new immersive, interactive, installation-performance with puppetry, tackling climate anxiety. Endllng offers hope through giving children agency to reimagine and contribute to environmental regeneration.
