The Melbourne International Jazz Festival (MIJF) is an annual event bringing the world’s modern masters of jazz to the heart of Melbourne each June for a ten-day celebration.

The largest festival of its kind in Australia, MIJF attracts over 40,000 people to Melbourne with a diverse program of 100+ events, featuring over 600 international and Australian artists performing in iconic venues, laneways and jazz clubs across the City of Melbourne.

MIJF provides international exposure for Melbourne, showcasing the city's vibrant live performance culture on the global stage through its programmed events, live-to-air and post-Festival broadcasts, while delivering around $8 million in economic benefit to the City each year.

Now in its 17th year, the Festival continues to grow with the support of government, corporate and community partners, over 170 volunteers and a dedicated Board and Management who are passionate about making Melbourne a world-class destination for jazz.
