Market Street Park
We have created the first urban park in the city centre since City Square was developed in the 1980s. The new park, located off Market Street, has created 1900 square metres of new public open space in the central city.
Pavilions in Royal Park
City of Melbourne is upgrading Western, Brens and Ryder pavilions in Royal Park to provide accessible change facilities and more room for the growing demand in community sport, particularly the growth in female participation.
Testing Grounds and Pop-up Park
The City of Melbourne is giving people even more reasons to visit the iconic Queen Victoria Market, with Testing Grounds and a pop-up park.
Transforming Southbank Boulevard
We've delivered an ambitious project to create five new public spaces and neighbourhood parks along Southbank Boulevard for the people of Southbank, Melbourne's most densely populated suburb. The project also includes new trees and 1.1 km of new bike lanes.
Woody Meadow Pilot Project
As part of the Woody Meadow Pilot Project, the City of Melbourne made a commitment to publish guidelines for growing a woody meadow when the project was complete.
